An outstanding attacking display from Russia cruised Czech Republic to a 4-1 defeat in Group A match of Euro 2012.
The Czechs actually started the game the better, controlling possession but a goal from the counter attack in the 15’ changed force of the game and Russia took the match in their control. Dzagoev in 15', and Shirokov in 24' gave Russia a 2-0 lead in the first 25 minutes.
Czech again made a big pressure in Russia defence as Vaclav Pilar equalized in 52’. However, Dzagoyev's goal in the 79’ ends Czech’s chance of coming back into the match.
Paveluchenko in the 82' scored the fourth goal for Russia.
