93rd Foundation Day was celebrated in Style

It was the 93rd Foundation day of our beloved East Bengal Club. The Foundation day was celebrated in style. From the morning the environment was beautiful with fans and sports lovers enjoying their day for our beloved East Bengal Club.

In the morning, legendary footballer Ahmed Khan lighted the lamp along with former Red & Gold Player Ilyas Pasha to mark the beginning of the Foundation day. After that Ahmed Khan Inaugurated the Foundation day by hoisting the Club Flag at the Club lawn. Former player Ilyas Pasha along with captain Sanju Pradhan was also present in the occasion. Then the birthday cake was cut by all the three players.

The foundation day was started celebrating in the morning and it continued in the evening with a felicitation of former and current Red & Gold players along with a musical performance by renowned singers.

Governer of West Bengal His Excellency Mr.M.K.Narayanan charmed the occasion and inaugurated the evening program with lighting of the lamp along with Govt. of West Bengal ministers Sri Partha Chatterjee, Sri Madan Mitra, Sri Bratya Basu and the Mayor of Kolkata Sri Sovan Chatterjee. Renowned novelist Sri Buddhadev Guha was the Chief Guest of the program.

Legendary footballer Ahmed Khan was presented the ‘Bharat Gourav’ Award by the Governer of West Bengal. Former Red & Gold stars Prasanta Sinha and Santo Mitra were given the “Life Time Achievement” Award.

Ilyas Pasha for his wonderful contribution was felicitated with Rs. 5 lac.

Penn Orji, the Back bone of East Bengal midfield got the Golden Boot Award for his wonderful performance in the last session.

Gallant of Footballers and Stars were present in the occasions. Dignitary from different fields enjoyed the wonderful program. Fans and Members all cheered through out the day and made the 93rd Foundation day a notable day for Every East Bengal Supporters.
