9 Years of Asean Glory for East Bengal

26th July 2003, is a very important day for the history of East Bengal. Although only nine years have passed since that day, it is considered as the pinnacle of success which the Red and Gold's have achieved in their entire history. BEC

Tero Sassana, a name which many may not familiarize with in mordern times was the second best club of Asia in 2003 having been the runners up of the AFC Champions League. East Bengal had to face them in ASEAN Cup finals. and surprisingly

it was the Red and Golds who won and created history. A win which not only made news on Indian soil, but also on the Asian shores put Indian football on the word radar. A club from India had achieved something which none before them had

achieved. They had won an important international trophy.

Today marks the ninth anniversary of the historic night. Although the years have passed by very quickly, the success seems to have made a permanent place within the hearts of the East Bengal supporters and fanatics. On this day, the joy

seems to renew itself and cements its place further within the dancing souls of the passionates.

On the fifth anniversary of the triumph, EAST BENGAL the Real POWER started to celebrate this event every year with the team. Every year following that, Real POWER has been present with the East Bengal team, wherever they were and had

celebrated the event successfully. It is fair to state that EAST BENGAL the Real POWER is the first fans club of East Bengal who has contunuously supported the club on this auspicious ocassion and is still doing so.

Today morning, the Real POWER team has made its way towards Kalyani, to celebrate the ASEAN Cup victory with the East Bengal team at the Kalyani pre-season residential camp. The Real POWER team will be present the entire day and will

cheer the team up for the season ahead.

We hope that the team will be able to achieve greater successes than the ASEAN Cup in the coming season and every supporter of the club will be able to held his head high with the triumph his favourite club makes.
