East Bengal U-15 Won 2012 Kolkata Goalz Cup

East Bengal U-15 won the U-15 category Kolkata Goalz Cup at East Bengal ground. This is a project which is well supported by the FA Premier League, British Council, Kolkata Police, Kolkata Corporation, AIFF, and the IFA. East Bengal defeated Mohammedan Sporting 3-2 in Penalty Shoot-out in the final. 

For East Bengal Club Ashish Kar, Prabhas Kamal and Debnath Mondol scored the goals. The scorers for Mohammedan Sporting Club were Suman Das and Sujit Das. Santosh Thakur, East Bengal’s goal keeper was adjudged Man of the Match.

The final was witnessed by a host of footballers like Chima Okerey, Abhra Mondal, R. Vasum, Monoranjan Bhattacherjee, Bhaskar Ganguly and Ranjan Chowdhury.

Mr Madan Mitra, Hon'ble Minister of Sports, Mr Sovan Chatterjee, Hon'ble Mayor of Kolkata, Mr Debasish Kumar, MMIC (Parks & Sports), Kolkata Municipal Corporation, Mr Debasish Roy, IPS, Additional Commissioner of Police (III), Honorary General Secretary East Bengal Club, Kalyan Majumdar, Ms Sujata Sen, Director British Council, East India, Mr Sanjay Wadvani, Deputy High Commissioner (Eastern India), British Deputy High Commission, Mr Stephen Brice, Deputy Head of Mission, British Deputy High Commission were present at the prize distribution ceremony.
