The latest FIFA rankings has thrown up some surprises. For the first time Brazil is out of the top 10 for the first time since 1992 and India has moved up to 163rd despite not playing any international tournament. However among the Asian countries, India has actually climbed down a place to 32 among the 46 Asian countries.

However, India’s ranking is now lower than countries like Bangladesh, Nepal Afghanistan as these countries ranking are at 151, 155 and 162 respectively. Japan is the highest placed Asian country at the 20th rank.
