




Ahmed Khan – The Legendary East Bengal Player to unfurl the AIFF Platinum Jubilee Flag

Ahmed Khan the Genius of Indian Football will unfurl the AIFF Platinum Jubilee Celebrations by a Flag hoisting ceremony at Football House Delhi. AIFF decided to organize the occasion on 23rd of June, 2012.
Ahmed Khan the Legendary Player who represented India and East Bengal was known as ‘The Magician of Indian Football’. His football is compared as a total Snake Charmer. He represented East Bengal club from 1949 to 1959 and was the skipper in 1954. His best performance for the club came in the year of 1954 when he scored 63 goals and became the highest goal scorer of the club.
Apart from East Bengal Club, he represented India in 1952 Helsinki Olympics, 1951 and 1954 Asian Games, 1953 and 1954 Quadrangular. He played an important role in India's Asian Games Gold Medal win in 1951. He had scored three International goals in the 11 matches that he represented India.
