Dear Sir,

I write to you in capacity as one of the founders of EAST BENGAL the Real POWER, a fan club dedicated to support for East Bengal. At the onset and With due respect I would like to state that there have been recent incidents concerning Real POWER which might have affected you emotionally and mentally. It has come under our realization that certain people are sending fake e-mails in the name of Real POWER containing mostly intimidating and threatening messages to the East Bengal team members.

We have come to know that there has been a mail sent to you in the name of a Real POWER member Mr Kallol Das. It is pertinent here to note that he is one of the most loyal and hardworking members of East Bengal club as well as Real POWER. His attitude and mentality is such that he can be available for the service of the club even at the wee hours of the morning to the complete darkness of the night. As far as I know of him, he cant even think of in his dreams of writing such a mail to you.

 Even during the club elections a year ago, such incidents had occurred and a similar intimidating mail was sent to our honourable secretary Mr. Kalyan Majumdar in the name of Real POWER. Till date we have not been able to make Mr. Majumdar fully convince of our innocence as we have no clue of the e-mail id of the sender and thus can't even take the plea of law.

 To give you a small background, Real POWER is an organization which has East Bengal fans and supporters as its members from all over the world.  Its main purpose is to support the team all the time, even in the most worst of situations. There was a time in recent history of the club, a couple of years ago when the club was fighting to save relegation, the entire East Bengal fraternity was against the team, shouting loudly and aggressively against the team and the officials, the only fraternity which took a different stance was Real POWER. We stood  behind the players and the staff of the team at all times.  We continuously motivated the team and for which many players of the current team knows the bond and support Real POWER has with the East Bengal team.
Everything Real POWER does is through its love and passion for the club. We are no income generating organization, all we have is love and affection for the club.  For, example, I myself am not a photographer, but it is due to sheer interest and love for the club that I have made myself available the necessary documents with which I am allowed to take photographs of the matches of the I League and the Kolkata League. Hence, it sometimes becomes a bit hard as well as pains us to digest the various allegations made against us including the current one.

 Just for your information , the members of Real POWER even receives threatening phone calls and text messages against the work it is doing at the moment. We are asked to stop providing updates in the website and stop supporting the players and the staff of the team whenever the team loses or there is a bad phase running. We are also asked to stop all the social networking sites we run so that the name Real POWER is eradicated from the football fraternity.

EAST BENGAL the Real POWER has a presence online in the form of certain social networking sites where fans and supporters from many strata of the society come and voice their opinions for and against the team. We do have moderators who tries to check and control the statements made as much as possible, however we do not encourage such statements or views. You will appreciate its a free world and people have right to voice their opinions.

Before ending this mail, I on behalf of the entire Real POWER would like to apologize to you, irrespective of whosoever has sent you this mail, for the inconvenience and mental unsettlement caused to you after reading such an email. But, as our name was involved, not only with you but with many of our club players, hence, we thought this as our responsibility to send and inform you about this mal practices. With your and the teams support we would like to continue our work as it is without giving importance to such petty issues.

In the end, Real POWER has got only one e-mail address from which it sends its official mails. It is info@ebrp.in. The mails sent through this id has our complete responsibility, but any other mails containing the name of Real POWER are fake and a ploy to degrade and disrespect the love and support Real POWER has for East Bengal club, its players, its coaches and its officials.
