EBRP celebrates Bengal's pride Joydeep Karmakar's birthday

7th of August was a special day for a man who was able to make the entire Bengal say with pride, "That is our boy, we are proud of him." Joydeep Karmakar, the Arjuna Award winner who missed out on an Olympic bronze by a whisker has become a celebrity in a fortnight. His name is now uttered in all the corners of our society and has given the Bengali people to look up to a new hero, a new protagonist in the field of sports.
The members of EAST BENGAL the Real POWER visited Joydeep Karmakar's house to wish him a very memorable birthday. Being a sportsman that he is, despite being a Mohun Bagan supporter, Mr Karmakar took initiative on his own and sported the EBRP jersey which was presented as a birthday gift to him. We salute the human being which Joydeep Karmakar is and wish him all the very best for the future. We are certain that the pride of Bengal will be able to bring an Olympic medal from Rio, where the next Olympics is stated to be held.
