A Beautiful and Lovely Day for Real POWER Lovers

Just like every year when the sun rose on the 26th of January, 2012 with the sounds of trumpets and gunshots celebrating the Republic day of India on the Rajpath, the members and ardent lovers of EAST BENGAL the Real POWER started to meet together and make their journey for the 2012 edition of the family picnic. With excitement surrounding the air the team bus of Real POWER started picking up its members from Tollygaunge making its way past various stoppages like Ruby Hospital, Keshtopur, Airport, Birati and finally the destination itself, BADU in Madhyamgram. Although a few hiccups was a part along the way in which we were unable to find the PICNIC spot but the hiccup added to the fun amongst the members of Real POWER.

The spot awaited all the members with hot and delicious breakfast which consisted of “Luchi and Alurdom” and “Joynogorer Moya” complimenting the starters, then followed Chicken Pakoras along with Fish Butter Fries. With all one can eat, the menu thus provided an irresistible force which attracted one to keep their mouths full always. Before one could digest the treats the big sound boxes boomed with the soundtrack “Macher Raja Ilish” and everyone started to dance like crazy with adrenaline pumping to the maximum. With the soundtrack reaching the lyrics “Douglas theke Mike Okoro.... GOAAAALL….Jatiyo football league champion East Bengal” everyone erupted by shouting “Bole Bole GOALLL” thus pumping up the scenario even more. Suddenly someone kicked in a football thus making an indication that it was football time. Everyone split up amongst themselves thus making a team of four and fighting to be the ultimate football hero. After playing their heart out it was time for many to make their way to see some snakes in the nearby snake park. The others who were tired and just lied down and had some pleasant discussions about their favourite East Bengal.

On this magnificent occasion Mr. Tamal Guha decided to celebrate his daughter Oyshi‘s birthday along with Real POWER. It was Oyshi ‘s wish to celebrate this wonderful day with the members of Real POWER. This truly shows the integrity and warmth amongst the family circle of Real POWER. This small incident takes the tag of Real POWER’s family picnic to a new level.As a token of Love Real POWER presented Oyshi with a Real POWER jersey singed by current East Bengal Club players and Coach Trevor James Morgan.

The lunch bell then rang up. Everyone started to enjoy the lavish menu which consisted of the traditional Hilsa along with Mutton. Thus munching with the bangaal flavor everyone then again had some memorable moments until it was time to depart. As the sun came down, so came down the happy moments. Everyone became sad of departing but that was just a part. Inside everyone there was a hunting desire to come again next year and relive the excitement and joy which they were wrapped up with.

There is a small surprise for everyone. Real POWER have decided that when EAST BENGAL becomes the I - LEAGUE champions this season, Real POWER will organize a celebration get together at the same place along with all the other EAST BENGAL supporters. So, everyone lets just pray for our team and wish that they bring home the League with them.

But, having ended the wonderful memories of the picnic here is what we do every year. EAST BENGAL the Real POWER provides all the details of the expenses it has made for making the picnic happen. It has been heard many times from the official “Baggus”{Tiger : OFFICIAL MASCOT of MOHUN BAGAN CLUB} that Real POWER is a business organization and this picnic is a business venture of Real POWER. So, it becomes all the more important for us to show everyone our balance sheet so that everyone can understand the profit Real POWER has made by making this business venture.

DIFFERENCE FROM THE MONEY SPENT: Rs 25573 – Rs 24173 = Rs 1400/-

So, you see that how profitable our business organization is. Real POWER still owes Rs 1400/- which still is not there for them to pay. But, in the end Real POWER has faith that their lives a “GAURI SEN” for them in distant Mumbai who will help them fill in the void. I think this explains how good the business is running for Real POWER and how the Real POWER members depend on this business to earn their bread and butter.
