Chirag SC beat a 10-man Mcdowell's Mohun Bagan 3-2 to kick off their ONGC I-League campaign at Yuba Bharati Krirangan (YBK) today.  Mohun were reduced to 10 men after Surkumar Singh was redcarded for hitting Gouranga Biswas.

Joshimar da Silva Martins scored a brace in the 67th and 71st minutes while Edmilson converted a penalty for Chirag SC in the 33rd minute. Mohun scored through Marcos Pereira (15th) and Rakesh Masih (75th).

Denson Devadas of Chirag was adjudged Man of te Match.
