Mithun Chakraborty became Life Member of East Bengal

East Bengal club had a rich history and the football traditional is very strong, with enormous Fan base around the world. Along with this the club had renowned and notable personalities as Life Members. Eminent persons such as Dr.Amartya Sen, Lata Mangeshkar, Dr. Vijay Mallya, Kapil Dev, Sachin Tendulkar are among them.

On 13th August 2007, East Bengal Club Sports Day, National Award Winning Actor Mr. Mithun Chakraborty  was added in the list. Mr. Mithun Chakraborty was handed over the Life Membership Card by Club President Dr. Pranab Dasgupta.
