National Award winning & noted actor of Bollywood and Tollywood Mithun Chakraborty was felicitated by East Bengal club on 13th August 2007, Club’s Sports Day. Mithun Chakraborty was the Guest of Honour on the day. On this occasion he was felicitated for his great efforts to fight against Thalasaemia and promotion of sports and football.

Subrata Bhattacharya East Bengal Club’s present football team coach handed over a memento to the noted actor during the function.
