Real POWER now has Twenty Thousand Facbook Members

Another day, another article, another expression and then another react… no wait! I really do not know as to what will be the reaction of our readers after reading this article, but one thing is certain, Real POWER will really feel satisfied sharing this information with you all.

It’s been Six Years since the name EAST BENGAL the Real POWER has existed the circles of Kolkata Football. Traveling a treacherous but eventful path of many experiences, fans of East Bengal from all around the world has shown their presence in the online communities of EAST BENGAL the Real POWER.

Most of you may know by now that EAST BENGAL the Real POWER was originally established in the community website of orkut.com. Slowly and steadily the member base and recognition of the organization had spread its wings all over the fields of Maidan and beyond the country’s boundary. From a mere ten, we rose to hundreds and then to thousands.

Starting its journey in Orkut, Real POWER has since spread its wings in most of the social networking sites such as Facebook, Twitter and more. Real POWER communities have become a home to its members who can be always seen to hang by after and before each and every match of East Bengal. Although it is not possible for every Red and Gold enthusiast to make their presence in the stadium to cheer their beloved team, Real POWER has always made an environment where every East Bengal Fan could come and express there feelings and share their emotions with the masses. EAST BENGAL the Real POWER has since become a home to many East Bengal supporters across the globe.

Today, the community holds approximately 20000 members of the family in Facebook. We really feel happy that Real POWER has made itself available to this many members of the current fraternity. Although many may say that the number is not a big one to boast oneself, we say that it is just a beginning and we are happy as beginners. One day we may see the number rise to a million and then probably a billion. One cannot stop a rise; on the other hand one cannot stop a fall either. But, what we are going through at the moment can be accounted as something pondering in between. Yes, we are happy that we have over 12,000+ members in Orkut and over 20,000+members in Facebook but we are not satisfied.Why? Well, Real POWER or rather East Bengal is a club which has never ever sat steadily thinking of what it has achieved, it always had the strength and mentality to focus and march for the future. So, why am I saying all these things to you? It really does make no sense whatsoever till now. But, what I will be saying will certainly make a bell tinker within your heart.

But, although we can boast of our twenty thousand online members in our website, we cannot really boast that EAST BENGAL the Real POWER has become stronger as time has gone by. Although we started with a dream of making a difference, somewhere along the way the huge difference seems to have not arrived in Kolkata Football. Although few patches of support have been witnessed by the Red and Gold fans, we have not been able to make a huge difference to the way the game is being run in the city.

There are many reasons for this. It will simply not be wise enough to look into details of the current situation as the matter will certainly take ages to jot down on this article and make the readers understand. But, one thing can be said. The most important problem that Real POWER faces is money. Although money is a problem in each and every organization that is being run on this planet, Real POWER is run mainly through the donations and the love of a very few individuals.

Since it will again be repeating of the same story, it will be wise not to be stressing on the fact as to what we do not have, but on the facts as to what we can have but through a little support from the fans.

1) Supporting the poverty ridden footballers of the city and nourishing them with proper facilities.

2) Improving the condition of the Malis of the club.

3) Bringing in all the East Bengal fans under one roof

4) Providing facilities to the East Bengal fans which will make them feel connected to East Bengal

5) Upgrading the website more so as to make it more informative

6) Being able to provide video footages of each and every practice session of the team and covering most of the matches East Bengal plays.

7) Helping all the supporters of East Bengal during the time of emergency

8) Trying to stop the crowd violence and improving the environment of the galleries

9) Bringing in more and more fans to the stadium so as to fill the vacant galleries and make the team feel at home when playing a home match

EAST BENGAL the Real POWER was established to support East Bengal club in ways which were required by the club and any individual related to the club. Have we been really successful in achieving the target we propose to our fans and readers? Hmm…it depends. We have always tried to support the players all round the year. We have motivated the youngsters through the I League campaign. We have donated prize money for our youngsters who gelled in the recently concluded U19 I league. We have sponsored a local tournament held for the Thalassemia patients. We have always followed the team wherever it has out its base on Indian soil and have tried to justify our slogan “Wherever there is East Bengal…Real POWER follows…” We have recently started a campaign of collecting money from people for developing the under 19 team of East Bengal. Trust us; it really is a lot harder to materialize the concept than it is to write on the paper.

The list is endless and we want to make available all the necessities, facilities and resources to the East Bengal fans that all the fans of big clubs in world football cherish. But for that we need the help of the supporters.
Everyone knows that most of the points stated above cannot be completed without monetary power. Hence, we urge our online members to convert themselves into Real Life members with a small amount as against the love of their favourite club East Bengal. This will not only allow them to come under one tree which is Real POWER but, it will also allow them help for a greater cause which otherwise they could not have done.

It is for this reason we say that showing the number of members in the Orkut was really not our intention. It was to say that out of those only a 100 or so have become Real Life members. How does it help a cause if so few come forward to help? We agree that we cannot offer our members luxuries and delicacies offered by many organizations. But, we just provide a platform for the people to come ahead and help the club. If more and more becomes part of Real POWER and becomes a “Real LIFE” member, the money which comes from it will be used for the development purposes of the youngsters and various developmental activities of the club.

Hence, we hope that all the East Bengal fans would put a step forward for a cause which will not only bring a greater good to the club that they love more than their life but also to them as being the supporters of the best club in world football.

This article is just a request to everyone; it really is not a big amount one has to pay to become a member. But, the small account adds up to become a suitable one to help the developmental processes of the club we all love and cherish.

I like to share another message with this regard that some East Bengal fans(but their names are associated with an organization of Mohun Bagan Mascot) are continuously blaming our Real POWER group claiming that we are an “WEBSITE” based organization completely locked in the Social networking website and we do not stand for the players and fans. I like to tell those dear friends of mine that please open up ur eyes and see the reality for yourself gentleman. Everyone can open a FANS CLUB each day and name it, but to run a fans club is not easy my dear friends. It needs lots of hardwork, emotion and man-power. These narrow minded East Bengal fans want to shut down Real POWER by illegally blaming them and spreading rumours and lots of lies. 
I want to tell them that East Bengal has got only one fans club, its EAST BENGAL the Real POWER (EBRP). Right from the very first day when we started to the date till now, we remained and shouted for East Bengal and their fans. We are always with them and we make it possible by capturing lakhs of emotions. We stood for every fan and our slogan is “FOR THE FANS, BY THE FANS, and OF THE FANS”. Our main motto is “Wherever East Bengal goes, REAL POWER follows”. 

Parimal Das, Ronee Paul are all East Bengal fans and we always went their before anyone else could and helped them. Its our culture and we will maintain that throughout. Like a Lion, we rule the entire Red and Gold fraternity and win everyone’s heart by our work. Some sections of East Bengal fans are really jealous of our spreading success and so as to block them, they are up with new and innovative ideas of blaming Real POWER.

I like to tell them that look into your own matters my dear friends because you people can never understand the value of a mother’s pain and tear when she sees her child lying in a hospital because you people are only here to make ugly comments and protests rather than understanding the emotion. 

EAST BENGAL the Real POWER is the one and only platform for the East Bengal fans in the world and will remain their forever. We are always with our fans and we love them and understand them better than anyone else and no one break this bonding. 

Now, let us get into something we would definitely not like to, but as times have changed so the approach to portraying our thoughts has also taken a slight angle. 
Real POWER is a Business Venture. Yes, this is the term which is used in the present times if one regularly follows maidan. With this saying a name of BAGGU has been associated. As we all know “BAGGU” which is a"Tiger" is the Official Mascot of "Mohun Bagan Club", our arch rivals.

Today, whatever East Bengal has done our arch rivals have been the first to follow. Even the concept of formation of a fan club by our rivals was taken from Real POWER, which was the first fan club of a football club in India. So, there is a small question to the ones who are accusing us of being businessmen. Why are you making us small in front of our arch rivals by copying “BAGGU”? Well, big bodies have big brains. Or rather we should say its big position within the club which gives one the power to dictate in a club which should be run democratically.

It has also been heard that this fraction of "Baggu's" have openly stated in a periodical that they will challenge the work of Real POWER in any way possible. They will be standing against Real POWER in any way and will form a barricade and protect East Bengal Club from Real POWER. 

It is over here where we have question for them("Baggus"). We know that you are East Bengal supporters. And the entire world knows that Real POWER members are the most loyal East Bengal supporters on this planet. So, the theory suggested means that an East Bengal supporter will prevent another East Bengal supporter from working for the betterment of the club which really is very strange considering the fact that, here the Baggus are actually the cubs of some big cats of our Holy Temple.

Real POWER follows a simple ideology which is to support East Bengal club in all times. Real POWER consists of true and passionate East Bengal supporters who are always looking for an opportunity to help their beloved club. But, in this world of politics and dirt mined ideologies Real POWER is made to face humiliation and lies are spread amongst the masses to downplay the honesty with which Real POWER works.

Let us put forward some questions to these Baggus. Is helping the Malis of the club a business initiative? Is supporting the East Bengal players during the toughest times a business initiative? Is trying to put all the East Bengal supporters of the world under a same umbrella a work of greed?Well, we don’t think so and certainly lakhs and lakhs of East Bengal supporters does not think so. But, why does the Baggus think like this? Well, being the cub of some big cats might be an answer.

But, one thing should be clear in the minds of any Baggus that wants to stand against true East Bengal supporters willing to help the club. 

Real POWER will continue to do the work which it has been doing and no matter how big the hands a BAGGU has over its head, it always is the Lion which is Real POWER which will prosper.
