March 11 is a date which basically no one or rather no East Bengal supporter is familiar with. Although, 24 June is a date to which each and every Barcelona supporter cherishes and merry’s.

24th June is the day when the current world best footballer Lionel Messi was born. Although March 11 may not cater to the birth date of a person so big in name or caliber, but the name does mean and deliver a lot to the supporters of the Red and Gold colours. Sanju Pradhan, easily one of the most prosperous young kid of this generation in Indian football was born on the 11th of March. This year the boy from the land of Bhaichung Bhutia steps into his 22nd year with a hope of a brighter and more prosperous future.

A bell rings in Sanju’s apartment. He opens the door to find a heap of Red and Gold shirts standing to shout out loud, “HAPPY BIRTHDAY SANJU!!!” A glorifying moment indeed for a boy who stays so far ahead from his family in a land and in a role which demands a full effort from him everyday of his career. Amazed with the sudden turnout and by the energy which the group of kids possessed, Sanju was anxious and was dwelled into asking the main protagonist Kallol Das the question, “Kallol Da, Thanks! But I really am not into all this you know. Today when everything is right people will understand, but tomorrow if I am not able to give my best, then there will be negative vibes procuring from this incident itself.”

Kallol Das was quick to rectify, “No SANJU, Today all the Barcelona fans know the Birthday of their very own Lionel Messi, but no East Bengal supporter is aware of their own Sanju Pradhan’s birthday. Hence this is the effort of EAST BENGAL the Real POWER to make each and every East Bengal fan knowledgeable of something’s which every Red and Gold fans should know, ie. the birth date of its players.”

Knowing on which the party began with the inclusion of all the big Bengali media news channels joining in. Another great Red and Gold solider in the name of Sushanth Mathews also joined the event with the intent of enjoying to the fullest. “I have heard of such passion and love of the supporters in Kolkata while I staid in Mumbai. But, I never personally experienced or visualized it to be much more than I expected. This is really outstanding. Kolkata is truly the Mecca of Indian Football.”

Dancing with joy Sanju Pradhan cheered out loudly, “Real POWER is the only fan club in this country who values true feelings of a football player. They do know how to support and stay behind a footballer not only during his good times but most importantly during his bad. I hope that Real POWER will get more fans to help in their cause”.

With this the Red and Gold confetti was launched with all the people cheering out loudly the name of their favourite Sanju Pradhan and singing out loudly the song “HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU…. HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU…. HAPPY BIRTHDAY HAPPY BIRTHDAY …. HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU”….
